Addiction Medicine Treatment at Acorn Health & Recovery
“The creation of a thousand forests is in one acorn.”
Ralph Waldo Emerson
Acorn Health & Recovery offers medication-assisted treatment to individuals living with alcohol and opioid use disorder. We provide proven medical help in a relaxing and private office setting. Our knowledgeable and friendly staff treat patients in a non-judgmental manner. We understand that addiction is a chronic disease due to many factors including genetics, trauma, and mental health conditions and must be treated as a disease
(and not as a character flaw).
Key factors set us apart from other suboxone clinics, our treatment involves many modalities including counseling, group support and medications. It often involves treating other mental health conditions and help with lifestyle choices. Our practice specializes in Medication Assistance Treatment; Suboxone (buprenorphine/naloxone), and Vivitrol (intramuscular naltrexone) are just some of the medications we can utilize, and it is expected that the patient is involved in counseling and group support.
Dr. Liebermann has been treating individuals with addictions since 2006 and has been Board Certified by the American Board of Addiction Medicine since 2012. He is a member of the American Society of Addiction Medicine and the American Osteopathic Academy of Addiction Medicine. He also holds Board Certifications in Family Medicine and Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine (Osteopathic Manipulation). The most common conditions treated for addiction medicine are Opioid Use Disorder (Opioid Addiction), and Alcohol Use Disorder (alcohol addiction), but other addictions including benzodiazepines and barbiturates are also treated.
Common medical treatments for Opioid Use Disorder that are offered at Acorn Health and Recovery are buprenorphine/naloxone (Suboxone), and intramuscular naltrexone (Vivitrol). Common medical treatments offered for Alcohol Use Disorder that we offer are naltrexone (oral and intramuscular), acamprosate (Campral), and other anti-craving medications.
“Each human being is bred with a unique set of potentials that yearn to be fulfilled as surely as the acorn yearns to become the oak within it.”
Aristotle
